Someday

Unfortunately...you gotta kiss a lot of 'em!

More Photo fun

I just love it when Miranda will let me play with my new camera and photograph her.
(Parker also was willing to be in the photo's as long as he was aggrivating Miranda)

It was a beautiful winter day and we decided to get a few shots before it got too dark...

A willing subject

Since I got this new camera for Christmas, I've been trying to find willing subjects to take pictures of.  The kids are only semi-willing, so Sophie is the next best thing :)
Here is a few fun shots of Sophie.

So this may not be the cutest, but I love how I was able to capture the lick in motion :)

This one is great because it shows off her beautiful eyelashes :)

Holiday Hunt

Ryan was so excited to draw a coveted Big Horn Sheep tag this year.  I mean, who wouldn't want to be out in the cold, rain and snow during Christmas?
I spent 3 days shopping, cooking, and packing thier food for the first half of the trip.
Finally,  they started out with lively spirits on Friday 17th

The weather was chilly, and a forecast of rain all week!  But it didn't dampen thier hunting frame of mind.  It was a beautiful area with only one slight difference from other areas they hunted...
It was in the Nevada Test site!

Camp was set up and they were ready to hunt!
After 3 days of solid rain, cold and fog...they were ready for a break.  They came home Monday 20th and didn't go back until Weds night still hopeful of a good sheep.

Friday 24th rolled around and still no sheep.  One more break from the hunt for Christmas, then it was back to camp Sunday night!
Monday, around noon,  I got a call from Byron, a buddy who was up helping him, letting me know he got one!
I was so excited (as I sure he was too)

He is pretty happy with his trophy and is planning on a full body mount (wonder where that will go?)

Merry Christmas 2010

This is the only photo I have of our gift opening time today (the kids will be so excited I'm sharing) because I got a new camera and kept trying to get it working....

But...here is some fun photos I took later on!

Jumping for Joy because it's Christmas!
Thankfully Miranda is a semi willing subject while I get used to my new camera settings!

Happy Christmas Eve

I love Christmas Eve.... I love being with family and the anticipation of morning.
Every year I take pictures of the kids by the tree and this year was no exception.
(you can check out a slideshow of years past HERE)

So now we are off to bed to have visions of sugarplums dance in our heads
(I'm hoping I've been a good enough this year that Santa will bring me a new camera)

Christmas decorations

This year we started decorating early since I hosted a Relief Society party at our house.  It's been nice to have everything up all month long...
Here is a few of my decorations this year...

Merry Christmas!

Not to be Forgotten

Every year our family attends Michael McLean's The Forgotten Carols.
We love going and feeling the beautiful message and spirit of the night.
This year was going to be no different. I purchased my tickets in September. I was anxiously awaiting the day to attend when I got a call from a friend in November inviting Miranda and I to be part of the "Forgotten Carols Choir"

 Um.... yeah!
We attended weekly rehearsals and had a great time preparing for the show.
Finally the day came and we went early to practice on stage.

A group of guys from our rehearsals were able to practice for the Homeless song
Being backstage with Miranda and our other friends was super fun.

We both had a wonderful experience and hope we get the chance to do it again next year.
My parents were able to attend along with Nancie & Raynold and Parker and Ryan.
I always feel like the Christmas season can officially start once we see the Forgotten Carols and this year was no exception.
